Vishal Veeru Devgan, born as on April 2, 1969, is a renowned Indian actor, director, and film producer working primarily in Hindi cinema. Famed as one of Bollywood's leading actors, he has featured in over a hundred movies and won many awards, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the action-romance *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a commercial success that made him an overnight star. He later acted in popular action films such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn offered critically praised performances in films like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006).
